Data Deletion Request

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Deleting your Atrapa data

This page explains how to ask us to delete the personal data that Atrapa holds about you. It covers both the Atrapa web application and the Atrapa mobile app.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@atrapa.io from the address you use to sign in to Atrapa, and include the following so we can find the right records:

  1. The subject line “Data deletion request”.
  2. The email address you sign in with, and your workspace name.
  3. Whether you want your whole account deleted, or only specific contacts, conversations or attachments.

We reply to confirm the request came from you before anything is deleted. Atrapa accounts are created by a workspace administrator, so if you are an agent rather than the account owner, your administrator can also remove your user directly from the workspace settings.

What is deleted

Your user profile (name, email address and sign-in credentials); the contacts you created, including their names, phone numbers and email addresses; your conversations and every message in them; attached photos, videos, documents and voice notes; internal notes, labels and pipeline records; and the device notification tokens registered to your account.

What is kept, and why

Records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices and transaction records, are kept for as long as the applicable accounting and tax rules demand. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may also be kept. Separately, messages you sent to a customer through WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger also exist in that customer’s own copy of the conversation on Meta’s platform — deleting your Atrapa data does not remove their copy, and we cannot delete it on your behalf.

How long it takes

We action verified requests within 30 days. Data is removed from our live systems first. Encrypted backups are rotated on a 90-day cycle, so any residual copies are erased no later than 90 days after your request.
